Spry in the lead at Belle Vue
On 9th April 2006, the Lancashire PWRC were invited by Belle Vue Greyhound Stadium to put on a Whippet Race in aid of the Retired Greyhound Trust. We were lucky enough to have both Spry and Callie able to join in as this is a very worthy cause.

Lesley & Spry on the winner's podium
The race was made up of six dogs from the Lancashire PWRC over a distance of approximately 180 yards. This is only the second such race in the history of Belle Vue, the first one also being run by our Club.

The trophy
To our delight, Spry won and both she and Callie were presented with a beautiful trophy to commemorate the night. We also managed to raise over £600 for the Trust so all in all a memorable event. We are hoping to hold more events such as this in the future and I will update as they happen.
